MAY THE SUN bring you new energy by day.

MAY THE MOON softly restore you by night.

MAY THE RAIN wash away your worries.

MAY THE BREEZE blow new strength into your being.

MAY YOU WALK gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.

Life is a beauty – Admire it

Life is a dream – Realize it

Life is a challenge – Meet it

Life is a duty – Complete it

Life is a game – Play it

Life is a promise – Fulfill it

Life is sorrow – Overcome it

Life is a song – Sing it

Life is a struggle – Accept it

Life is a tragedy – Confront it

Life is an adventure – Dare it

Life is luck – Make it

Life is life – Fight for it

Finca Luna Nueva Lodge, San Ramon,Costa Rica.

“Niceties” include, exquisite towel shapes & unique tropical floral arrangements.

Carlos drove us safely, for our 2 1/2 hour trip from San Jose to the Finca Luna Nueva Lodge in San Ramon for a 7 night stay. This 207 acres organic, Biodynamic, Herbal Estate and Rainforest Eco-Lodge, is also a farm of organic ginger, tumeric, tropical fruits and vegetables. This Nature Sanctuary & Retreat Center, can house up to 33 guests.

Our spotlessly clean room, displayed our bath towels wrapped into an elephant’s head, decorated with pink flowers, leaves were placed on each eye, mouth and tip of the nose on our comfy bed. An organic soap wrapped in a plantain leaf on the hand towel, decorated into a flower with marigolds and ferns, sitting on the bathroom sink. The bath mat was shaped into a fan with pink flower petals.Organic shampoo & conditioner are in the shower. Our bath towels display changed daily, a dog, a cat, a bird, an ostrich, a swan & a large heart on our last day. Fresh linens are changed daily, there is an efficient ceiling fan, screened doors & windows. A computer, complimentary for guest use. Huge verandas outside Casa Luna have comfortable rocking chairs, sofas and hammocks to listen to the rain, the songs of the birds, and see them flitting from one flower to another.

A wheelchair accessible, ozonated pool and jacuzzi alongside the open air dining room. At our first lunch, we sat unknowingly, next to the owner, Steven Farrell, a tall, slim, brilliant, knowledgeable guide, who led us on theSemillas Sagradas, the Sacred Seed Sanctuary Tour, an Ethomedicinal gardenhousing over 300 medicinal and tropical plants, water falls and a bamboomeditation platform. The Observatory Tower has a platform, that gives 360 viewsof Arenal Volcano, 35 minutes away, it can be seen on a clear day, from a very comfortable hammock.

Meals are created, from the fruit and vegetable gardens, which produce 90% ofwhat is consumed amongst the staff and guests. Beer, wine, ginger ale & root beer can be purchased at lunch and dinner.

Lunch – Salad with sliced tomatoes & cucumbers, grated carrots & beets, corn on assorted lettuce, spring rolls, home made salad dressings. Tilipia fishin banana leaves, yellow rice, spinach/egg cutlets, tamarind juice, chocolate cake served on a leaf, cafe con leche or herba matte tea. Breakfast – Cereals with milk, bananas, slices of papaya and pineapple. Gallo pinto – black bean & rice, egg scallion slices of thin omelet & sliced fried plantains. Whole grain bread & banana bread slices, butter and guava jam. Orange juice, cafe con leche or herba matte tea. Steven brought in an unusual ripe fruit, known as ice-cream fruit, locally called”Bidibiba”. He cut it up into pieces and gave everyone a piece to taste, in a very fatherly manner.

Ishmael led us on the Biodynamic Farm Tour of the cacao orchard, we saw green & ripe cacao, banana, coconut & papaya trees. Sampled holy basil leaves, tumeric & ginger roots, aloe, amaranth and many more. Compost sheds & pigs at work, a very inspiring Mandala Garden.
